Rubbermoon Inchies

I have cut this Rubbermoon image into inchies for this very simple card design.  I like squares and repeated images, so this design is perfect for me!

New Stamps

This Fiskars stamp set was a bargain at my local discount store.  Who can resist a bargain?  Certainly not me.  I love the fonts used for the many different "thank you" sentiments.

I coloured the flowers to match the cheerful card stock, but then couldn't find the right colour embellishment, so I opted for a flower punched from the same card stock.

Watercolour "en Provence"

Our Vancouver Artist Trading Card swap has swelled to approximately twenty five people, so I'll have to increase my monthly production!  Rather than make twenty five cards of the same design, I'm going to make a few single editions.  Here's one I made by watercolouring a Stampendous stamp.

It reminds me of a scene in Provence!

Just Another Card

This is a very simple card using pencil crayons and scrapbook paper to decorate a very strong design.  Not my own, obviously; I've seen this idea used a few times.  The scrapbook paper makes a "shelf" for the vases to sit on.  The vases are coloured using tones in the scrapbook paper.  Stickles add some "bling".

Trash Origami

Here's a little book folded from scrap paper and a calendar - no sewing or gluing required.

Muse Gone Away?

Try combining some images or stamps in an "unusual" way.  If nothing else, you'll have a giggle.

I hope you have a laugh today!

Writing Poetry

At the risk of embarrassing myself, I'm going to make a confession.  I recently began writing poetry.   Why?  Art journals love words.  I love words.  Sometimes art journals need words.

Until I decide to do something bolder with it, there it will sit, this poetry, in my journal.  And you probably can't read it in this picture, so maybe we'll be both be happy. LOL

A Card with a Purpose

This card serves two purposes, and those who know me well will understand my drive for purpose.

  1. It uses a brand new stamp I bought as a souvenir on my recent trip to Hawaii so that I don't feel so guilty about buying yet another stamp, and
  2. It will also become a page in my design journal for "vertical images".    (See this post for more on my new series of design journals.)
